Who Do You Dream of Becoming?

Who are you now and who do you dream of becoming? What are your dreams? You have a right to your dreams. What are your goals? What is your heart’s secret desire? What plans do you have to make your dreams and your goals and your heart’s desire happen?

If you had a magic wand that you could wave over your future, who would you be? What would you be doing? Would you be an astronaut flying to distant planets? Would you own your own company, one that’s created a new technology that can made a difference on the planet? Would you be the Speaker of the House helping to create legislation that makes peoples’ lives better? Would you be a mother, a scientist, a lawyer, a teacher, a doctor, an inventor, a pharmacist?

Dream big. Believe that you can be anything you choose to be. It will take dedication, determination, long hours of hard work, but most of all it will take commitment.

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe was a poet and a philosopher who wrote:

Until one is committed there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness.
Concerning all acts of initiative and creation there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans;
The moment one definitely commits oneself; all sorts of things begin to happen that would never otherwise have occurred.
A whole stream of events issues from the committed decisions, raising in one’s favor all matter of incidents, meeting and material assistance, which no person could have dreamed would come her way.
Whatever you can do, or dream, you can begin.
Boldness has genius, power and magic in it.
Begin it now...
