Who Are Your Heroines?

Do you have a mentor? Are there any strong women in your life that you admire? Who are your role models? Who do you see that is being their full authentic self? If there are such women in your life, what can you learn from them? If you do not have such women in your life, then you need to get some. You are missing out. We humans learn by watching what others do and copying their behavior. So, if you do not see strong women, how will you know that it is okay to be strong, or smart or authentic? How will you know that you have the right to stand up for yourself? How will you learn to be a leader if you have not seen a leader in action?

There are lots of women out there who you could choose for you to emulate. Take a look around you. Who do you see? Do not pick a heroine based on what a person looks like, but based on what they do. What goals have they set for themselves and then achieved? Do they challenge themselves to become better and better at what they do? Do they think outside the box? How do they handle themselves when faced with challenges? Are they willing to take risks when it means making a difference? Are they doing what you long to do one day?

You need to have heroines. They are your stepping stones to where you want to go in your life or who you want to be some day. They have done the hard work. They have paved the way for you. They can open doors for you that you don’t even realize are closed, especially the ones inside you.
